if you watch WWE, you will have heard of it. they had been hyping it for months. if you saw a month's worth of RAW, chances are you've seen 50% of the movie, from all the clips they showed.

Stay far away from this one, guys. Even if you just feel like watching a dumb, loud, action movie (like I did when I plunked down $12 to see this in the theatre) it is so poorly filmed that you won't even know what's going on. The shakiness of the camerawork (even in the non-action scenes!) was mind-boggling. To this day, I can't believe that this was filmed by Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger). Between this and The Covenant, I think he's lost it. BTW, the villain is absolutely lame in this movie. He's like Hans Gruber-lite.

John Cena should stop making movies and just be a wrestler

This movie isn't really that bad. Would I say worth buying? Nope. But it's easily worth a rental. Sort of reminiscent of Speed or Die Hard with a Vengeance.

People bring in WAY too high of expectations into this movie. It was entertaining, and a good idea for an action movie.

The movie is not bad. I saw it in the theater. Worth watching if you like the genre. I'd say its better than most of the Fast and the Furious, xXx-type stuff out there.
I'd like to see John Cena continue to do this stuff because let's face it - Vin Diesel and The Rock have wasted their potential careers as what fans of former action heroes (i.e. Van Damme, Schwarzenegger) wanted to see from them.
The Rock even stated that he would never make a pure action movie again but would only be tempted if the script was as realistic/intelligent as the Jason Bourne films. -

Just wanted to mention that the article on the site erronously mentions the theatrical cut being rated R. Its actually PG-13.
