Default 'The Grudge' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'The Grudge.' He says it's held up better than many of the films in this remake genre, but it's still seeming a bit dated after only five years. This Blu-ray looks and sounds pretty good, and the extras are quite plentiful. Give it a rent.

A few extra gore shots and Major spoilers below:

They show the father going wacko and killing the family in the house which starts the grudge.

I personally love the unrated cut it explains a lot more of the story and makes it a lot less hokey (like the cat's meow).

Yeah, but you do kind of get the idea of what happened by watching the theatrical, one. Its prolly not as explanatory though as the Unrated version. The extra gore isnt a biggy to me.

Damn, I have the import and will prolly just stick with that.

I do like the Unrated version better, but I don't think it's worth trading in the import seeing how the PQ is probably the same and the AQ might be inferior because the DTS HD on the import is quite good. I'm not sure how they compare in that department though as I don't have both.

I recommend the reviewer watch "Ju-On 2" just for how fucked up one scene is near the end. Seriously I've seen a decent bit of Asian Horror movies and this was just plain fucked up.

I thought that this was one of the better asian horror remakes and I am a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar so I will pick this up the PQ sounded OK nothing to great though guess Ill just have to wait and see.
