Having lived in England for 35 years, Ive seen so many DTV films its untrue.... A lot of stuff that was released in cinemas in USA never made it to UK cinemas, so I saw a lot of new material this way........ and happen to have no issue with it what so ever...
A cinema release does not make a good movie.
A direct to video release does not mean it will be a bad movie.
in fact some of my all time favourites are DTV.
and after watching the trailer - I'll certainly be looking out for this title !Last edited by Danyuld; 04-21-2009 at 03:40 PM.

Looks like a hell of a good time. I bet Warner would make a decent profit on this in the theaters, but if they feel otherwise, I guess we'll just be treated to a nice Blu-ray instead.
Did the primary buffer panel just fall off my gorram ship for no apparent reason?! -

Can't wait.
Caught a screening of this in LA last October... really terrific horror anthology. It's puzzling that this didn't get a theatrical release. Although I can see Warner getting cold feet releasing a horror film that plays child murder for laughs, and features some pretty terrific tonal shifts... it's bizarre that they would have financed it to begin with only to not stand by it.
It's a great looking film and a real treat for genre enthusiasts. Like most anthology films, there are some weaker moments, but they are more than compensated for by the fantastic segments (Brian Cox is the fucking man.)
Actually, I almost hesitate calling it an anthology film. It is a series of stories, sure.... but they're so seamless. Call it Pulp Fiction meets Tales From The Crypt. -

It's being screened at the German Fantasy Film Fest this Aug, can't wait.
I'll be buying the US BD, as it'll be my main feature for Halloween '09.
Here's a breakdown of some of the BD exclusive extras thanks to Fangoria.com...
“There will be a standard-edition DVD which will pretty much just have the movie, and then the Blu-ray disc will have all the special features, ’cause that’s the way things are moving these days. There will be a documentary, the animated short film, SEASON’S GREETINGS, that kind of inspired the feature, deleted scenes, outtakes, all sorts of fun. And there will be a few different audio commentaries that are still in the works; I don’t know exactly who’ll be on them yet, but definitely me and hopefully some of the cast.” -

Damn it,
For a second there I thought you meant Treat or Treat from "1986". You know, the one with the kid (skippy) from Family Ties and had cameo's from Gene Simmons and Ozzy...
Sammy Curr was awsome cheezy greatness.....
Oh well!
