"Magnolia Sets July Blu-ray Date for 'Great Buck Howard'?"

DUMB

It should have read, "Magnolia with Tom Cruise, Julianne Moore, William H Macy, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and John C Reilly come to Blu-ray"

But of course not. I cant believe there are TONS of non-Star Wars/Indianna Jones titles STILL waiting to be put on Blu-ray. Its getting ridiculous

Just watched this last night on HDNet Movies. Pretty good, but kinda generic and bland. I don't know why it was on that channel already, but I looked up future showings and didn't see any other than the 2 back-to-back showings last night.

On a side note: Are you the "MagnoliaFan" who was mentioned in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back?

The movie was decent. I'll buy it when Amazon inevitably puts it on sale.

Buck Howard was produced by Magnolia, Mark Cubans production company. He also owns HDNET and HDNET Movies and most Magnolia Films recieve a special 1 night screening before it's in theaters. They air the film twice on HDNET, put it to Landmark Theaters (also owned by Cuban) while similataneously offering it on PPV and then a few months later it will come to blu-ray and DVD.

This happens with a lot of Magnolia films - nearly every month they have one special "sneek preview" screening.

Some decent reviews and Emily Blunt put this one on my radar.

Yeah I saw Buck Howard last night and Joaquin Phoenix's last film on HDNet Movies. Both aren't that great.

I watched this crappy movie for free on HDNET and it totaly sucked Colin Hanks in staring role thanks to his old man.

This is the first movie on HDNET that I couldn't stand

No way, Buck was great. John Malkovich was priceless had me rolling throughout the film.

I'll pick up the blu.
