Dragon Hunters on Blu - now includes HD images.
I promised to keep you all updated about anything we were authoring on Blu Ray.
DRAGON HUNTERS the French animated feature that was put up for Academy Awards last year. http://www.dragonhunters-themovie.com/indexuk.php The movie has been encoded while menus are being designed, So I took it home on a BDR E this weekend, and both the Video and Audio are some of the highest quality I have seen to date ! and that includes all PIXAR titles. I will have more info as we close on the release date late JUNE. I will also have some screen shots and menu shots soon for you all..... This title had such an impact on me watching it this weekend, I watched some scenes nearly ten times in full DTS HD MA with hairs on my arms stood on end !! This is my new reference title... even if we did author it ourselves...lol You may not have heard of this title.... but you will have soon... i feel this will be a big release among BD fans. Thanks for the heads up, I was considering the dvd but was reluctant because, yeah, it's a SD dvd and it'd be my luck to buy it 1 day before BD announcement. Even for SD it looks good.

wait for the BD for sure..... this thing almost brings tears to my eyes it looks that good.....
 P.s. im hearing June 24th (I also have client approval to discuss the project tech specs - expect to see more soon.)

I was watching this on the TVs at Wal-Mart the other day (I have no clue why it was on there, but it was pretty cool). I was wondering why I never heard of or have seen anything on this flick. I might look into it when it comes out.

to be honest i hadnt heard of it either..... but it hasnt left my ps3 all weekend long....... theres two or three scenes that i have watched over and over with some serious volume cranked up....... !!

hmmm obviously less well known than i expected....seriously guys do some research on this one - watch some trailers....... this blu ray is a stunner....... !!

The DVD was selling in a 2-pack at WM and selling quite good, I work in the electronics dept. so I notice this.
The film looks good, it was showing on the HD network that broadcasts in the department. Can't wait to pick it up.

Hit the info button on one of the remotes and tell me the resolution, I think you'll find 720 x 480, SD.

Either way - broadcast HD looks poor compared to a good HDCAM SR.
Broadcast HD = too much compression for my liking.
