Default 'Changeling' - High-Def Digest Review

Josh has reviewed 'Changeling.' He says this is a solid period drama from Clint Eastwood. This Blu-ray has good video and audio but thin supplements. Worth checking out though!

Same. Severely underated

But to be honest I didn't realize how well crafted this film was until...

Spoiler:
the hanging scene. That's where the whole film came together for me . Jason Harner was amazing in that roll

In general a wonderful film that is not part of any genre, but just a well told story. I put this up there as one of Clint's best.

Good to know that others enjoyed this film too.

Watched this last night and I was hooked from beg to end. Great movie IMO.

Audio was VERY well done IMO and this track is a great example of how good a subtle sound track can be and how affective/convincing this type of sound can be.

I think I'll pass on this one. I'll watch The Original Classic 'Changeling' instead

I really thought this was a great movie. Having recently watched Million Dollar Baby I couldn't believe that it won Best Picture and Changeling and Gran Torino received such harsh critical backlash. Personally I feel that these two films were head and shoulders above Million Dollar Baby.

+100

This movie and Gran Turino puts Million Dollar Baby to shame. I thought besides the performances, MDB was severely overrated.

I waited for bluray to watch this and I'm really surprised it didn't get more aclaim. Powerful powerful story, and one of the best movies that deals with police corruption I have ever seen. And what's amazing is that's just the tip of the iceberg with this movie.
Its a shame this gets no nods come oscar time and melodrama drivel like the Reader and Revolionary Road get props.

Revolutionary Road is a very well done period drama and it was only nominated for 3 Academy Awards(the same as Changeling) and all of them were technical, no major Awards like Changeling. Ill give you the Reader though, that movie wasnt very good, even though i felt Kate Winslet deserved that award more than Angelina Jolie.

This as a great film, i agree it is pretty underrated although not one of Eastwood's best. I thought Jason Harner was awesome as the serial killer, im very excited to see his career progress to more major roles, i think hell be really good. I plan on picking this one up when the price goes down to $20ish.
