Peter has reviewed 'The Pelican Brief.' He says it's a decent if unmemorable John Grisham adaptation (All I vaguely recall is a chase in a parking garage, but it's been sixteen years). This Blu-ray is a significant improvement over the 1997 DVD. Worth a look, but only Grisham fans need make a purchase.

I'm a fan of Julia Roberts, and also of this movie. I'll pick it up when it hits $15.

"The Pelican Brief" is a terrific book - and excellent film. I am looking forward to seeing this in high definition - once it reaches a reasonable price level ($15 range, as someone else mentioned above).

I'm just glad I'll finally be able to watch this movie without flipping the disc halfway through.

Me again, usually dislike Julia Robert movies. But I liked The Pelican Brief. Well I have to see it soon again on BD, but I would think I still like this movie much more than Peter Bracke did..

..I just saw the Blu-ray Disc. I must say Bracke made a good review.
But actually I still like this movie and found it quite entertainining as a thriller. Actually I like Pelican Brief even more than Zodiac. Yes it is easy to forget it, but I think it's better to buy discs (like this one) that have a reply value. |

not a huge fan of Julia Roberts
, but this movie was great. One of those rare times when the book translates onto screen very nicely. |

Just picked this up for $14.54 at WBshop.com -- there's currently a B2G1 sale (on top of their 20% off and free shipping offer) this weekend only. Enter the code WEEKEND. So glad I will finally own this in hi-def!
