I loved the first one and was less impressed with the second. Both are gorgeous BDs though.

Had this since Monday, can't wait to watch it probably tomorrow. I have heard that it is pretty good, put it in just to check out the picture quality for a little bit and it was fantastic.

Just watched it. Very nice picture even if I don't care for that style of CGI animation. It had it's fun and funny moments though. I thought the TRUEHD was pretty good though not on the level of a KUNG FU PANDA.

Review is missing feature
Just watched this (from Netflix). It was cute, but definitely a rent and not a buy - the highlight are the penguins. PQ and sound were both good.
One thing not mentioned in the review is that there are two 11-minute segments from the upcoming "Penguins of Madagascar" TV show under the "More Penguins" link of "Extras." Both are quite cute, with HD picture and dolby sound. -

Just got this tonight myself. Haven't watched my copy yet but went through some of the extras. Make sure in the More Penguins section that you press right on the 2 selections to access 4 short slips from the show. (Easter Eggs i guess) 2 can be found for each listing under the more penguins option.
For any lurking Canadian on the board. Future Shop has it on sale for $25 this week. Got it price matched at Best Buy and got it with my Skipper Beanie Baby included. My DVD/HD-DVD/BLU-RAY Collection

Put in the camp of not liking the first one much but really liking the second. The second was a much better film, funnier, better story, etc.
