I know that a lot of fans are tired of this garbage because I read the complaints on double dipping all the time.I don't go rusing out the door anymore for any new releases because I want to know if I'm getting bang for my buck. PQ and AQ better be top notch or else it's no sale with me.The Terminator movies are following a similiar pattern as their DVD counterparts and this is already being seen with other releases. Before I pluck another 20-30 dollars down of my hard earned money I want to make sure that it's worth it. If you want to waste your money on a release that we know will be dipped a few more times then be my guess. It's your money not mine. I could care less.

I agree, the movie itself should be presented in the best possible way... the first time. The studios can make all the special editions they want later, with new scenes, commentary from the stuntman and action figures, but the movie itself should not be updated. Don't release it if it is not the best picture quality, this is why I bought my PS3, for the best picture possible. I would not be so angry if T2 was not one of my all time favorite movies, it is personal or something.
You better call Kenny Loggins. 'Cause you in the DANGER ZONE! -

You guys are talking like this wasn't a Blu-Ray launch title. If I remember correctly, ALL of the launch Blu-Ray titles were pretty lame (especially now in retrospect). Wasn't Blu-Ray originally rushed to market because of HD-DVD?
It was soooo obvious from day one that the T2 blu-ray was sub-par and would be double dipped (I believe that it was mentioned in the review here from back when). I just don't understand how anyone would be upset because they bought the original disc and are surprised a new edition is coming out. I'm glad they are releasing a proper version sooner rather than later (of course, I'm speculating on the fact the release won't be a half-assed disappointment).
As long as the T2 release is on par with the rest of the best blu-rays we've been getting lately (a restored transfer, lossless audio, and at least the extras from previous DVD editions) than I'll be set for life on this particular title. -

No more information than that?
Price seems good though..... I was thinking that Lionsgate might try and screw us with some uber-ultra edition for $40 MSRP. At $30 (meaning ~ $20 on Amazon) I'll be double dipping much sooner than expected.
Assuming this thing has better PQ (however slight), lossless and a good amount of extras of course.Well, I don't want Fop, goddammit. I'm a Dapper Dan man. -

All 3 cuts of the film, best PQ to date, lossless audio and I'll be back buying it. Hear that, Lionsgate?

This was bound to happen. What? the zero extras on the first release didn't tip you off? Or the tons of releases on DVD? Just shut up and give Arnie his money. -

So is there any word from Lionsgate on witch cut of the moviey they will have on the disc? I don't think I will buy this version, if it isn't a directors cut and stick with my curent Dlu-ray, because what is the point when they will do one some day. Also how much better can the vidoe be with what they have to work with? I mght consider getting the Skynet version, if it has great picture, but I doubt it will.
