Thumbs up 'Curse of the Black Pearl' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Peter's review of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.' Another highly anticipated release, he says that the film itself holds up as a grand entertainment, and that this Blu-ray version is simply outstanding. Both the video and audio are five-star, reference-quality presentations, while the supplements match everything that was offered on the standard-def versions. Plus, there is even a Blu-ray exclusive trivia feature as a bonus.

yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this has been my most anticipated high def movie since casino royale!!!!!!!

5/5 PQ stars, ohhhhh yeeeeeeeeee

i never got a chance to see DMC in theatres and when i heard it was comng to blu-ray around christmas time, i decided to hold off on buying the dvd version and waiting for the blu-ray release of both of these. i have COTBP on dvd but i havent watched it in more than a year and i cant wait when may 22nd rolls around, which i never ever thought would come hahah!!!!

all of my friends have told me how awesome DMC is and how it ends completley with the fact that a sequel will come. i cant wait to get these from amazon, i just hope i get these before may 25th cuz i'm planning on seeing the AWE midnight screening!!!

ahhhhhhhhhh yeeeeeeeee!

I look forward to the day that I can read a Blu-ray review without having to read a comparison to HD DVD or even the mention of it. Particularly if it's not a dual format release.

Probably just an oversight... It's 1080p/AVC MPEG-4

You better hope it does arrive before then, because it makes no sense to watch At World's End if you haven't seen Dead Man's Chest... You will be completely lost if you do...

I really dislike these movies, but I might pick them up just for a Blu-ray reference title that the majority of people can watch. Best Buy made it a lot easier with the 2 for $50, reward zone points, and another free Spiderman 3 blu-ray case.
