Default 'Dog Soldiers' -- pre-release thread

First Look is bringing the cool Scottish werewolf tale to Blu:

http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/dogsoldiers.html

There's no tech or extra details yet, but the MSRP is a nice price of only $19.98.

Street date is May 5.

Freakin' great. At that price it would have to be an absolutely awful transfer to make it NOT worth buying.

I love this movie and I love everything Neil Marshall has done. Day one buy for sure at that price.

I tried to like it, but I'm very picky when it comes to werewolf tales. This one didn't work for me. I'm curious to see the transfer, though, because I wasn't impressed with the standard DVD.

Nice! I'll hold reservation though until it hits that glorious $11.49 PP.

"This one didn't work for me" . Come on, fist fights with Werewolves, proper hard :-). Only one of my mates hated it, kept rabbiting on about the squaddies using the wrong kind of weapons and tactics indoors (his brother is in the army). Naturally I did try and point out the fact that there were werewolves in it......possibly the tactics choices weren't the most glaringly unreal aspect!

I have the DVD and like the movie a lot but the DVD is basically worthless so I better just stick with it and pass on the Blu-ray version. I think this is about the best werewolf of the last 20 years.
