Default 'Clerks II' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Clerks II.' He says (deep down) it's a sweet if raunchy comedy. This Blu-ray has good, if somewhat problematic video, strong audio, and tons of supplements. Recommended.

Just so you guys know, the movie review talks about the HD-DVD, not the Blu-ray.

Good review, though. I thought it was Smith's weakest View Askew movie, but still pretty good.

I think just the opposite, I thought it was one of the few of his movies that had a broader audience appeal. My wife, who will not normally watch a Kevin Smith movie for more than 20 minutes, sat through Clerks II without her attention wavering in the slightest. Better yet, and more recently, she enjoyed thoroughly, and laughed heartily at Zack & Miri, a movie she would not watch (because of the title) until I popped in one night. I've been a fan of all of his movies from the beginning, but I would have to say Clerks II is my favorite of all of them...dunno, maybe I'm in the minority.
And I can't look at a sign that says "ATM Here" without smiling anymore.

Like the movie. Not enough to upgrade from my SD-DVD. My K Smith faves are Chasing Amy and Dogma

It's worth it for the Star Wars Vs. Lord of the Rings scene alone!
Out of all his films I find Mallrats is the one I'll pop on for a good laugh!

I don't own this one in HD. I really thought the SD DVD looked really good and have never seen fit to upgrade. Maybe eventually.

I really like the movie though. Not quite as "cool" as Clerks, but Smith has let his characters hold fairly close to the values that they had in the first film. Freddy

The HD DVD (and therefore the Blu-ray) is in 1.78:1 not 1.85:1.

Will pick this up eventually. Clerks was crtainly a more clever movie but this one has it's own good qualities. I'll upgrade to the Blu-ray for sure. Funny movie, plus Rosario in HD are you kidding me?

P.S. Haven't picked up Alexander yet either. (Guys, you know what I'm talkin' about).

On the SD-DVD, there are three Easter Eggs: a look w/Kevin Smith at the ViewAskewniverse Bible, a "Hooray for Hollywood" featurette and a 5-minute additional Train Wreck video called "Clerkin' Off". I can find the first two on the new Blu-ray but damned if I can track down the third. Has anyone else had better luck? According to the HD-DVD review, there are only two Easter Eggs on it, which leads me to believe I'm screwed re: the Blu-ray and will have to keep my SD-DVD copy for this one minor bonus, but I didn't want to give up hope just yet...

Does anyone knows if there are any french subtitles like written in the test. Because, I saw this film in France (us import), and no French subtitles were indicated.
So, could anybody help me (I live in the worst country for blu-rays.... France!! So excuse me for the faults I've made)

Thanks.
