Saw this back some years ago. I remember it being good, but I wonder if it holds up?!?

I rewatched the DVD recently for the first time in many years and still enjoyed it a lot. I'll pick up the BD for sure.

Just a heads up, the link goes to 'Thirteenth Floor', but all the info, boxart, etc. is for 'DaVinci Code'

This is the subpar sci-fi flick that killed Gretchen Mol's career for a few years, and now in glorious hi-def!

Thumbs up

Great stylish. scifi noir....looking forward to the upgrade. The lossless track should be demo-worthy, as the DD5.1 track on the dvd was very dynamic.

Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! This movie is one of my guilty pleasures. It failed drastically, most hate it -- but I love. Craig Bierko is great, Vincent D'Onofrio in a role quite different to Law & Order (or whatever he is/was in).

I just hope this is region free, or released in region B territories soon after. (Otherwise that US PS3 will need to be bought much sooner).

This movie suffered from being released too closely to The Matrix and having a theme about a computer generated reality (that isn't a spoiler). It isn't an action movie though, it is a sci-fi crime thriller. I remember enjoying this a lot and thinking it would have gotten more attention if it wasn't for the unfortunate timing around The Matrix. I saw a standup for this in the theater, but never saw it listed as playing locally, had to wait for the DVD. Definitely worth a rent to see if it is for you or not.

Yeah it had about a 2 week run in our local. I didn't see it, as it vanished much to quickly, but the DVD still is a guilty pleasure

Totally unconscionable that the light assortment of bonus features on the SD-DVD Special Edition didn't migrate over. Sony should know quite a bit better than that by now...
