Default 'Election' - High-Def Digest Review

Josh has reviewed 'Election.' He says this Blu-ray is pretty cut and dry, with no frills, but good video and decent audio. Still, this is a sharp political satire and comes recommended.

LOL

i still have to buy it, i'm a fan of the film. just too much other stuff coming out. will pick it up in a month or two.

it was a very good write up, though, Josh, i liked it, and think your assessment on the movie is quite fair.

this is one of the few roles i like Reese Witherspoon in. i normally LOATHE her acting.

One of my favorite films.

Anyone notice the 'Flick' in the button kinda cut offs to look like 'f*ck'?

Seriously! I kept checking to make sure I hadn't goofed something up when I posted it. This is a great movie folks! Fans of 'Sideways' and 'About Schmidt' should check it out.

I enjoyed this a ton, and the Blu-ray release was my first time watching it. Very fun and entertaining.

I love this movie. Would have liked some new extras but the BD is still great.

Umm it says this movie is rated PG-13 when I remember it was rated R back in 1999.

i think the comments about Flick's underage anatomy clinch it being an R.

Well Mean Girls has the coach sleeping with the two underage asian girls lol, and that's PG-13. But actually it would still be R, because of language.

does the coach describe their genitalia?

the film rating board frowns upon using street slang for genitalia, and whatnot. see how Clerks and Clerks 2 were both originally branded nc17's

Oh I forgot about that part. Yeah, in Mean Girls there's no discussion about genitalia, other than the girl saying it's not her fault she's so wide-set.

I don't know.... ever since I was forced to watch 'Sweet Home Alabama' on a transatlantic flight I can't stand Reese Witherspoon. The same goes for that doctor dude from Grey's Anatomy btw.

Is this a movie Witherspoon haters might enjoy?

I've corrected the MPAA rating.
