Default ‘Pineapple Express’ - High-Def Digest Review

Tom has reviewed 'Pineapple Express.' He says that after an opening he felt missed the mark, this proves to be another winner from Apatow and company. This Blu-ray has excellent video and audio and extensive bonus features. Recommended.

i don't know why all these big time critics love this movie, i thought the first two thirds was funny, but no way laugh out loud, stomach hurting hysterics found in superbad, and the third act was wayyy over the top with the tarantino like shootout...i never recovered. all my friends praise this film and i wish i felt the same, i do plan on borrowing it from my friend or redboxing it or something.

I thought the opening with Bill Hader was pretty funny but not as good as the rest of the movie. "hello Bleep Blurp and Bloop" haha

Over all a great apatow flick as always but not as good as others tho.

Solid 8/10

PQ looks pretty solid. Too. Good buy.

I was incredibly excited for this movie before it came out, but I was a little disappointed and thought this movie was just alright after my first viewing. It was far more of an adventure, far more craziness and fight scenes and gore than I expected. 6.5/10 after the first viewing.

The second time I watched this movie, knowing what type of movie it was before watching it, I loved every second of it. It's a big action/partner movie spoof, reminiscent of 'hot fuzz' but for stoners. 8.5/10 after the second viewing.

I disliked this one so much I traded it in a couple of days later, along with Step Brothers (which was the better movie of the two).

I don't think he has. But I hope he is in future titles.

I loved him in Hot Rod and Tropic Thunder.

Love this movie, watched it about 4 times since buying, gets better on repeat views. So many classic lines!

"Hmmmm dem sum druuugggsss"

" Man, Fuck Jeff Goldbum"

"What's up sport spice"

Haha

And if you love Danny McBride as much as I do, go watch 'The Footfist way", his first flick on a shoestring budget, effing hilarious.
