The blurb on the front page "Bruce Lee's Circle of Iron" is misleading. Bruce Lee merely co-wrote the story on which the film is based. He neither directs nor stars in this movie. The role intended to be played by him was instead played by David Carradine after Lee died.

I've seen this on DVD and it is somewhat Jodorowsky-lite (think, El Topo). Not too bad, but it gets a bit meandering.

IF you know much about Bruce Lee, this is the movie he was trying to get made in hollywood for a while. IT was called The magic Flute or something. David Carradine got it made after Bruce died, as a tribute. Yeah, this doesn't have Bruce in it, but it's still more his movie than something like Game of Death, which is just a cash in on his last few hours of footage.

If you got the Enter the Dragon blu-ray you'll see the 22 min of uncut fight scenes that bruce did. It also shows a little of what the orginal story might of been.

That was for Game of Death, which he obviously had started shooting. They used that footage for the released Game of Death, but used a completely different story. I love those fight scenes, though. I wish they would come out with a high def copy.

Circle of Iron is based on a completely different script, the one they were talking about during the documentary that was called The magic Flute.
