I think an odd choice for the debut of ADV Films, given their extensive catalogue.

I agree, Lady Death wasn't that good, nor was the animation all that spectacular.

Well ADV lost 90% of their Anime licenses to Funimation, so I guess they don't have much to choose from, but....well....damn...

This is one of the worst animated films I have ever seen. It's seriously super bad and has no redeeming value (not even nudity). ADV really should have debuted with a stronger title.

Never seen it but I thought it would be like the Spawn animated series. But after checking out the trailer.. it looks more like the Mortal Kombat animated series. cooorny.

90%? exaggeration much. but seriously though that was because of that stupid company ADV used to be under called Sojitz. If it werent for Funimation those titles ADV lost would be in limbo right now. ADV still has plenty of anime they could of chose but they went with a title they made in America. I think its because Lady Death doesnt have much cost to ADV since its American-made and so what better to choose a title in their horrible situation Sojitz has put them in with having them lose the licenses like Air, Kanon, Welcome to the NHK, Ah! My Goddess season 2, and so on. Oh and now the company thats taking over Sojitz place is Sentai Filmworks which have already brought back a couple of classics that used to be licensed under Geneon which include Mahoromatic and Tsukihime: Lunar Legend(they are on dvd) and they are going to bring some newer titles like Clannad, and Indian Summer which will have no dub at all despite for all of those who enjoyed the dubs ADV did in the past like Air and Kanon. But I thought ADV already delayed this Lady Death title?
