Default 'Amusement' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Amusement.' He says this is OK direct to video stuff, but not all that scary. This Blu-ray has nice video and audio, but no supplements. For horror fans only.

I've yet to hear anything all that good about this movie, which I guess shouldn't surprise me.

I thought "It" was pretty scary, but I haven't seen it since I was 12, so it would probably be really lame if I watched it now.

So the movie gets more stars than "King Kong" right?

Naw, that is a well made Stephen King movie. Lots of fine actors in that one.

Now, Killer Clowns from Outer Space is one that's kid-scary, but cheesy for adults.

A lot (most IMO) of King's novels/novellas turn out to be well made movies. 'Shawshank' and 'Green Mile' lead the top though

I thought the same thing when I read the review. Nice job Peter. That's why I skip straight to the video/audio of his reviews from now on.

The clown under the bed in Poltergeist is scarier than anything in this film. It was alright for a straight to dvd/ BD title, but I sure wouldn't watch it again, or buy it. I agree with the review that the female leads needed to die and quickly, they're annoying and very dumb. Although having just watched SAW 14, this movie was alright. The latest SAW film sucked, well so did the one before that, and the one before that, it's gone complete soap opera with a few hack and slash scenes thrown in.
Check out FunHouse, maybe for some demented carnival fun.

I did love the clown in the chair though-It was by no means a great movie but by far not worst movie I have seen. Straight to video release was perfect for this title!

True ~ Although I havent seen a lot of clown movies non have really freaked me out. This clown just looks like a puppet anyway so I doubt this will change anything.

Damned if the most terrifying dream I've ever had didn't involve a giant, bloodied clown leaping out of my closet at me with an ax...

Holy crap, I wonder what a child psychologist would have to say to that!

And yes, clowns are creepy and scary. But no, this flick ain't.

ps3

Just watched this movie the other night and it was not very good at all. The only decent part of the movie was the second story that featured the Clown. I can see why this went straight to DVD/blu-ray. If you must see this movie rent it watch it online just do not buy this movie unless you are a big fan of really bad DTV horror flicks.
