Default More Star Wars Clone Wars on Blu-ray?

No date yet, but Lucasfilm is planning to bring four episodes of the animated Star Wars series 'Clone Wars' to Blu-ray this Spring:

^^^^ Did you mean to link to the review or was that supposed to link to an upcoming news story and/or placeholder in the disc database?

Also, I was reading about this over at AVS and it seemed like Lucas was planning a DVD release of the first 4 eps and a blu-ray/DVD of the entire season later this year.... or is that wrong?

I thought I'd hate the show but I'm so far enjoying it much more than the prequel trilogy, if for nothing else than there's no terribly written romance subplots.

Yea 4 episodes is dumb, I'm not getting it unless it's the whole season.

HK, i'm on the same page as you. no way will i EVER buy a title in installments. if they insist, i'll just wait for the eventual boxset at 1/3 the price of the installments.

Star Wars The Clone Wars on Blu-ray Later this Year
January 14, 2009

LucasFilm today revealed plans to release the first four episodes of Star Wars The Clone Wars: Season One exclusively on DVD in late March.

In the same announcement, LucasFilm confirmed a multi-disc box set is in the works for the complete first season of the series that will be released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. That set is expected to arrive later this year, most likely timed to coincide with the debut of season two on The Cartoon Network.

For the season one DVD and Blu-ray Disc set, LucasFilm is currently producing a number of bonus features that include "explorations of the behind-the-scenes creation of the hit series."

We'll have more details to share on this animated Blu-ray Disc set in either late spring or early summer.

I am not sure I like the series enough to buy it. I'd rather have the movies and the first Clone Wars series on Blu-Ray. I mean there are just too many issues with this series, such as Grievous coughing way too soon and Vendress still being alive (even though we saw Anakin throw her off a cliff).

I will want to buy Season 1 when it comes out, but it will likely be expensive so if it is I will have to just rent. Thought the movie was ok, but I've really gotten into the series.

Is Ziro the Drag Queen Hutt a major character in the show?

Why does the front page article still claim the first 4 episodes are coming to blu-ray in march? I thought this got cleared up a few posts up.
