Default 'Super Troopers' - High-Def Digest Review

Please welcome our newest contributor, Tom Landy, as he reviews his first title for High-Def Digest. He says the cult comedy 'Super Troopers' has some classic comedic moments, even if it's a bit spotty. This Blu-ray is a step up from the DVD, even if the video and audio aren't showstoppers. There are also a few exclusive Blu-ray supplements. Worth a look.

There is some pretty noticeable and distracting EE ringing on this disc, disappointing he didn't bring it up in the review.

I love this movie, and I do feel it to be a classic. Anything is better than the Dumb and Dumber transfer. I feel downright used after seeing the lack of any quality to that disc. It has to have been down-converted for the sheer comedy of having people pay 25 bones for it lol. Has anyone else seen it?

I cannot say I read this review without feeling the need to offer my own criticism. To me, the video and audio portions of the review did not have enough depth. It was the sort of brief, generic, by-the-numbers material that plagues half of the reviews at blu-ray.com (minus the ones written by Ken, of course.) Like the video and audio were just glanced over.

In my world, Super Troopers is definitely a comedy classic. Too bad about the EE though...

Classic comedy that gets plenty of rotation time in my library and will continue to especially now that I have my Blu-ray copy.

P.S. Must admit PQ and AQ review here did seem a bit simplistic. Oh well.

That has been up for close to three years. The plot was to be that it is set in the 70's with the orinigal charecters playing their fathers. I hope they do make it. It sounds like comedy gold.
