Default 'Disaster Movie' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Disaster Movie.' He says it's awful. This Blu-ray has good video, loud audio, and more supplements that you'd expect. Unfortunately the movie just terrible. One to avoid.

No surprise here...these movies are just hur-ting. On another note, has anyone seen the travesty that is Dumb and Dumber on Blu-ray? It's such a classic but I mean wow. I know it's a comedy and all, and may not warrant THAT much of a remaster, but it literally looks like they DOWN converted the standard dvd and slapped a Blu case on it. I felt so uuuuuuuused.

I can't wait to get this.

metalhead4,

I was curious about the Dumb & Dumber transfer when I got it so I immediately put it in the player. There is an improvement over the SD Special Edition but only during close up shots. I too feel a bit cheated.

Do reviewers get paid extra (for mental anguish etc.) when they cover movies such as this one?

1.5 out of 10 on IMDB speaks volumes too. So sad/sick.

I'm embarrassed to say I did
I had no plans on ever seeing this steaming pile of a movie but it was a date (so I paid for 2 tickets!), needless to say we never saw each other again after that night lol

This was excruciatingly terrible on all levels, I got a kick out of what he mentioned in the review (actually laughed at the Chipmunks death metal bit) but other than that its easily THE worst movie I've ever seen, even Uwe Boll brings more substance and originality to his films than these guys do and THATS saying something......PLEASE dont buy this on any format and make sure others dont buy it as well, these movie studios need to stop making this horrible junk NOW!

The basic concept is that a group of friends must rush to a museum to save a friend. I guess it's a set-up that's sorta supposed to be like 'Cloverfield' meets 'Night at the Museum,'
Sounds like a The Day After Tomorrow spoof, which IS a disaster film.

That's what i was thinking. Also, in the review, Peter mentioned Airplane! I love that movie and it needs to be released on blu sometime in the near future to keep the universe balanced.
