All blu rays I have, I bought only after check its review here in High-Def Digest, what have been very useful to me.
With BOB was not different. Although I try to buy only 5-star rated video blu rays, I decided to get BOB even with "only" 4-star video, after all 4-star is not bad.
But this time I have do disagree with the review of High-Def Digest, due, specifically, to excess of
grain. I've read some video reviews which seems to do not take grain as a image problem, what is strange for me.
BOB seems to be a case like that. It is undoubtedly the most grainy blu ray I have. And I do not agree with:
- grain helps to make a documentary style or artistic style. I don't need to see grain on the image to believe it or to see it like a documentary.
- grain was present on BOB source. That is not true, the DVD version does not have any grain.
I will check the forum for a most general forum or thread to talk about film grain.
Although this time High-Def Digest disappointed me, I will keep reading it because it's right most of times.
