6 Star Trek Movies on May 5th?
This may be posted already, or maybe not since this really isnt confirmed, but these 6 titles + Star Trek: The Original Series-Season One are "scheduled" for a May 5th release according to Releaselist.com, and that site is usually right 95% of the time
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Star Trek: Wrath of Khan
Star Trek: The Search for Spock
Star Trek: The Voyage Home
Star Trek: The Final Frontier
Star Trek: The Undiscovered CountryWhen Life Gives You Lemons, You Say F*ck The Lemons, And Bail -

I sure hope so. I'm kind of surprised that Paramount would chose the Tuesday RIGHT BEFORE the Friday release of JJ's Star Trek. I would have thought they would release these in mid to late April at the latest.

Timeframe makes sense.
Out of that list i'll go for UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY as it's my favorite. While I also like KHAN and VOYAGE HOME, not sure how great a BD they would make? I'll think i'll content myself to the DVD. -

I hope, hope, hope this info is accurate. Very close to my birthday so I may just ask some of my more generous friends and family for these.
Once season one of TOS is released it can only mean that 2 and 3 aren't far behind. I'd expect season 2 around the same time as the new film on blu. And season 3 sometime in winter (Christmas 09?)
What, you don't want to see giant Whales in HD.... that will be pure reference all the way, man.

I hope they've properly remastered these. It would be truly dissappointing to see these DNR'd and EE'd

And then there's going to be the price. I'll probably have to sell a kidney to get this entire set. -

I am wondering if they will be individual releases or as a box set.

Dear Paramount,
Please release TOS seasons 2 and 3, the high-def masters of which I know are simply collecting dust in a safe somewhere. If you refuse, I will be forced to shove a photon torpedo up your collective arse.

Last summer the work on these began at Lowry Digital but I have some disappointing news. A few people that I know who work there tell me that Paramount went really cheap on these and the initial budget for all the remastering was very low.
If it cost something around $150,000 to do a Bond title, I was told that the budget for the first film was only around $25,000-$30,000 which limits the kind of work that needs to be done for a full restoration. We shall see once they come out but I have a feeling they aren't going to be the spectacular releases we are all hoping for.
I was told by not one but several people that they just aren't living up to the kind of work they normally like to do on all the titles they get. Paramount has consistently been the cheapest studio when it comes to truly mastering their films especially on re-issues. Like I said, we shall see in a few months. I hope a lot has changed since they were first budgeted. -

well if its a box set I really hope its just the normal boxes and not some gatefold type.. if the price is right I'll get it. I figure 149.99 MSRP and 120-130 via amazon. $150 Best Buy.
time to upgrade the LDs -

I'll buy all of these for sure, even if they're not stellar remasters. Hope the price is reasonable though.

Are the films coming in May then? Any word on The Original Series seasons? Thanks!
I'm curious to hear how the blu rays turn out for these. -
