'Days of Thunder' - High-Def Digest Review
Peter has reviewed 'Days of Thunder.' He says this is a bad 'Top Gun' rip-off. This Blu-ray has decent video and audio, and NO extras. For Cruise die hards only.

Seriously though... was there a clamor for Days of Thunder on high-def? I really want to know who decides what titles will get a high-def release.

Good point. The only people who would want this movie are NASCAR fans and none of them like Tom Cruise.

I like the movie and I hate watching Nascar. Don't think I'd buy it on BD though... Rental maybe. That's a dissappointing review though.

I hated Top Gun but loved Days of Thunder. In fact I think it is still my favorite Tom Cruise movie, outside of him in Tropic Thunder.
 Don't think it is worth a BD purchase though.

I agree on Tropic Thunder but I would put Collateral in place of Days Of Thunder as his best movies. When he's not Tom Cruise, when he's actually acting, the boys got game.

 Seriously though, bad film, but not nearly as bad as reviewed here. Sounded like the reviewer has something personal w/ this one.

My folks took me to this movie when I was 8. Peter is right, it's a total Top Gun rip-off but it is such a guilty pleasure for me. I might have to pick it up if I find it cheap.
