And there will be another release a year later, then one more a year after that, and the year after that, and the year after that....

Me either. It was always a very cool horror flick with some creepy sh!t in it. I suspect that a few of the special effects will be slightly dodgy but otherwise it will be a very cool blu-ray to have.

Yes... Though wonder how dated it will look against his remake.

Niiice....I had to double check to make sure this wasn't a direct to video remake. Why does Amazon have '(2008)' after the title as in the year this movie came out? But it does say starring Andrew Robinson and he was in the original so I guess its the original.

Doesn't this have a really muddy looking picture? I haven't seen it in years but from what I remember, it won't exactly be demo material.

A remake is currently in the works, scheduled for theatrical release later this year. I'm sure Amazon put "2008" in the title by mistake.

Ha ha! Me too; like an idiot, I sprang for all those AB tins (Hellraiser, ED2, Heathers), so I could pay a huge premium to get the film and a bunch of random crap in a tin that doesn't fit any storage option very well. At least with Hellraiser, though, it was at the time the only way to get Hellbound (which I actually prefer in some ways to the original: it's like an avant-garde montage of body horror, where the complete lack of plot logic works in its favor in a perverse way).
