Default 'The Women' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'The Women' has been posted. He says this remake only made him want to rent the original. This Blu-ray also disappoints, with weak video and audio and fluffy supplements. Rent it, but only if you keep your expectation really, really low.

Nor a Band of Brothers review, as it seems releases like "The women" are far more prioritary than those mentioned...

Take a good look at the hideous cover art if you get the chance. Has any new release had a cover with airbrushing that heavy? I think there's maybe three pixels' worth of Annette Bening's actual face.

(P.S. If you're wondering about 'Every Which Way But Loose' - No extras but very nice video transfer, fine Dolby TrueHD audio. Remember, grainy film stock was a common sight in major studio films in the 1970s. Same goes for 'The Gauntlet,' pretty much.)

I've got the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD. I know you may have heard bad things about it, but I've got to tell you: Never buy the Westinghouse TX-42F430S 42" 1080p LCD.
