Default 'Heathers' - High-Def Digest Review

Ken has reviewed 'Heathers.' He says this is a surreal and biting high school satire. This Blu-ray features an underwhelming video transfer, bland audio, and limited supplements. Worth a look, but somewhat disappointing.

That's beyond high definition for you . Shame, its a decent movie and could have used a better transfer. I'll skip.

The movie looked great for what it is - and was about what I was expecting. What, were you looking for Transformers-like reference material here?

I'm happy to have this film at all in BD.

I just wish the special features were more robust.

I was happy to pick it up at Frys on release day for $9.99! Sad to see that it isn't a significant upgrade, but since I didn't own the SD DVD, I can't complain at all.

I have seen so many versions of this film, from TV to VHS to DVD (both versions), and the one thing that has remained constant in the transfers has been the poor presentation of black, which would usually seem overly contrasted and lead to green blemishes in the darkest of darks.
Anyone who is familiar with earlier versions of the movie should know what I mean.

Can anyone confirm that these blemishes are gone from the Blu release? If so, then I will definately pick it up, as the film is so iconic of its era to me.
Also... it would be good to replace the missing disc from my DVD tin set with a Blu version.

Man, I loath this movie.

Nothing worse than watching nothing but chick flicks, because of your sister. Movies like Cry Baby, Grease, Pretty in Pink, 16 Candles and Grease 2. end rant.

Except Heathers isn't a Chick Flick. Far from it.

Feel free to dislike it all you want...but it ain't a chick flick.

Yeah, nothing like a chick flick where chicks are killing each other

Sounds like a personal problem. Maybe you and your sister should have been watching this instead... My daughter loves Cry Baby and I detest it.
