Default 'Step Brothers' - High-Def Digest Review

Ken's review of 'Step Brothers' has been posted. He says this is an often hilarious but seriously-flawed comedy. This Blu-ray has strong video, average audio, and good supplements. Worth a look, but just barely.

Just finished watching the extended version on Netflix rental. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected I would. Some parts were a riot. Definitely worth renting, though the language isn't something to share with most families (At least not in the extended/un-rated stuff)

Loved Anchorman (why isn't it on bluray yet? ) I liked Talladega Nights too, so I might as well pick this up.

Call me an asshole or a hater, but i just got the SD, didn't want to fork out $27 on a comedy. Although, this movie was hilarious.

Default backwards

In the review, you have the characters switched.

Dale (Reilly) lives with his dad and rules the house, Brennan (Ferrell) lives with his mom and has to move in.

This is on my to-buy list but I am in no hurry to pay full price for it.

Amazon, call me when the price is $20 or below.

Little bit of a nitpick but he got the brothers and the parents they belong to wrong. Ferrell is Steenburgen's kid, and O'Reilly is Jenkins offspring.

Default Just plain horrible!

I am a big fan of both actors but this movie is so horrible on every level. I am not offended by off color humor. The problem here is that the writting is just so poor and unclever that it just isn't funny at all. You have to be stoned or literally retarded to enjoy this flick!

I thought this was much funnier than Ricky Bobby.

This movie was an embarrassment to everyone involved in it's making it to the screen.

A really bad Saturday Night Live skitch is funnier than two grown men acting like they are 12.

They assembled a strong cast, good story line, and forgot to write a script.

Even the pq was mediocre and the sound was very average at best, so you didn't even have a treat on the senses while you waited for something funny on the screen.

@DBlockAllDay
Dude, you really want to work on your sentence structure.

"its funny cus to everyone ur the only retard not to like this film."

Let's go a step and fix your sentence structure:
"It's funny, because to everyone else, you are the only retard not to like this film."

Now let's take this a step further. As I read the sentence, you're even calling yourself a "retard", "...your the only retard not to like this film."
"You must be a retard, because this movie was hilarious!"

I still haven't watched the movie, but your grammar and structure just sucks. If you learn how to write correctly, then you wouldn't look so much like an idiot.

I'll probably rent the movie this weekend.

Dumbest movie ever. Why do they continue to make this crap, and worse yet..why do people support it by buying it and seeing it at the theaters?

Can someone please KILL Will Farrel once and for all for the good of mankind? Or, at least deport him and take away his citizenship.

Another waste of a blu-ray disc & transfer.

Comedy is a hard thing to judge.

It made me laugh all the way through. It was worth every penny. I think the obviousness added to the hilarity. They seemed to actually have a good time making this film and it comes through in the sideways relaxed nature of it all.

POW!
