Default 'Nights in Rodanthe' -- pre-release thread

The latest Nicholas Sparks weepie is coming to Blu:

Extras include a featurette, music video, deleted scenes and Sparks biography.

No tech specs yet, but stay tuned.

Street date is February 10, and MSRP $35.99.

This is actually a Warner Bros. film not New Line.

And with that, we have probably seen the pinnacle of the interest in the Nights in Rodanthe blu-ray on HDD...

even though i saw this a month before it went wide theatrically, i still felt like seating through a very sappy discredit film, i believed it was going to surpass The Notebook and oh boy was i wrong. not really into chick flicks but The Notebook truly captures any type of audience, with great characters, solid storyline and a heartfelt driving synopsis. nothing in Rodanthe had me cheering.

Thanks for the heads up. My wife and I enjoyed the Notebook a lot.

Curious to know how it compares to the book? Furthermore, how does it stack up with the likes of A Walk to Remember and Message in a Bottle? I don't understand why it only get's compared to The Notebook... was it the same director or something? Because if it's source material, it really should be compared to those other films as well.

^Now there is the peak of interest for this film on HDD...

Well I loved the Notebook....will give a shot. probably with a chica,, so dont know if we will be watching the movie,, buttt.

Avoid this film at all costs.

Track down unfaithful....i promise you you won't be watching the movie past the halfway mark. The ladies really enjoy that one.

I'm 6 out of 8 on that movie

ill give it a try as well. i haven seen message in a bottle but a walk to remember and the notebook are some of my(i mean my girlfriends, lol) favorite movies... very heartfelt.

Got this one today -

BD25. It's great to see Warner put some exclusive extras on this title (Slip Cover, Alternate Scenes, 3 featurettes, music video and "exclusive BD-Live features") but they included only a DD5.1 track I put it in my player just to make sure...and yep, DD5.1.
