Default 'Blue Streak' - High-Def Digest Review

Ken has reviewed 'Blue Streak.' He admits to being a sucker for this stuff, but says this Blu-ray has merely average video, mediocre audio, and pretty weak supplements. Rent this one first, or wait for it to hit the bargain bin.

Everyone should check out a Martin Lawrence and Tim Robbins movie called Nothing to Lose.

One of my favorite comedies ever. Not available on BR yet though...

It’s a tough thing to admit after years of struggling with addiction, but I need professional help. I knew something was wrong the first time I recommended ‘Black Knight’ to a friend, sensed something unnatural was at work when I paid nine bucks to see ‘National Security’ in the theater, and started to worry one late night when I caught ‘Big Momma’s House’ on HBO and didn’t change the channel within fifteen minutes. Yes dear readers, I am completely and utterly entertained by Martin Lawrence. It doesn’t matter if he’s competing in an F-bomb contest with Will Smith, trudging his way through a period comedy with Eddie Murphy, or... sigh… taking to the road with John Travolta and Tim Allen, I’m rarely disappointed. It seems that no matter how bad I recognize some of Lawrence’s movies are, I’m perpetually amused by his comic stylings
Don't feel bad my friend, the same thing happened to me with Ben Stiller.

I thought this was actually a very decent comedy, though it helps that I too am "entertained" by Lawrence.

That said, National Security was terrible!

Edit: And Nothing to Lose is pretty good as well.

That is just one reviewer's opinion. There are several reviewers (2 of which I have provided links) who said this was not a bad transfer at all.

I love this movie. I thought the transfer was good. Fair amounts of grain, but thats all I noticed.

when i was 10 and 11; a younger kid i loved martin lawrence i thought he was wicked funny and i loved bmh and this movie. then a few years later when i was 13 i saw national security in theatres and loved it but ive loved steve zahn since saving silverman came out. but after national security, the older i got the more i disliked martin, and in the last 2 years or so i caught this movie and national security on tv and i realized then how much martin lawrence sucks. he's the same role in every comedy, which is pretty much the same comedy; he''s loud, obnoxious, annoying, unfunny, and it goes on and on and never stops. i dont know why i used to love martin lawrence but i also think to myself why martin lawrence has been so successful for so long. when wild hogs came out that seemed like the downfall of martin lawrence and i hope he never comes back to make another generic comedy again.

Why would you give a shit whether he makes another movie or not? If you don't like him or his movies then move on with life. Jeeze.

Default Now give me that gun!

" A Federale??? You're Mexican???".......Haha, I love this movie.....Many great performances, especially by a pre Chappelle's Show, Dave Chappelle....I own the DVD and just viewed this recently on HBO in 1080i....I almost bought this for 19.99 the other day because I want all of my favorite movies in 1080p, but am sure Fry's will have a 12.99 Sony sale and will include this movie......
