Default 'I Am Legend (Ultimate Collector's Edition)' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of the 'I Am Legend' double-dip has been posted. The real difference here is in the extras, so if you're into supplements, by all means pick it up, otherwise, you're probably okay sticking with your first copy.

Why put the different versions on seprate discs??

The larger bitrate dont appear from that revew to have made a difference so why not leave them on a single disc and have all the extras on the other disc.

Atleast the majority of extras are in HD.

Not sure if it is worth double dipping since i have the HD DVD version allready

It's a reference package to a HORRIBLE film. Sounds about right.

Pass.

I agree w/ Peter.
The first two-thirds of this film are pretty damn cool. The third act is a mess though, and the CGI in this film is shit.

I cant believe Warner double dipping already when they should be focusing on better releases.

Won't double dip. I'm fine with my original copy.

Also agree Warner should be concentrating on making sure ALL of there releases have LOSLESS audio for starters instead of going for double dips.

I bought the Steelbook on day one but I have never watched it. Probably never will. The part with the dog hits to close to home for me. I've had my dog for almost ten years.

The first release if perfectly fine. I don't see the point of this release, especially since you now have the extras on another disc.

come on, the film was not bad as to be referred to as HORRIBLE! For real! you wanna see horrible, id suggest you watch Urban Legends: Final Cut or those cheap DTV shark movies (e.g Shark Attack, Shark Attack 2, etc..) now those go beyond....horrible.

Please.....

p.s But will not double dip unless of course i see it under 19.99 or under.

I'll be buying for sure since I just got a blu-ray player on Friday and the added features. While the film was far from perfect it still worth your time/money to watch and own.

The part they messed up on was doing everything CG. The infected didn't have to all be CG.

To the above poster the CG is far from "shit". Some parts of the film showcase some very good CG work.
