Default 'Jarhead' -High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Jarhead.' He feels the film is sort of flat. This
Blu-ray has decent video, better audio than the HD DVD, but few
supplements. Worth a look, but if you have the HD DVD already, just
hang on to it.

I'm shocked they didn't include the extras. Perhaps they're anticipating the rerelease...

mikey, i think it's due to BD25. they did the same thing to end of days, and baby mama.

i doubt they'll rerelease for many years.

Well, I'm not a marine and I hated it too. Talk about a boring ass movie.

I'm picking up the import with all the extras and BD-50.

The shower scene is YUM

"Unfortunately for the latter, audiences apparently favor the former, at least according to the box office."

So what is "Heartbreak Ridge"? I would argue that is is the "latter" and that was a popular movie was it not.

I think the reason that many "complications of war" movies fail is because they generally wear their politics on their sleeve, eg. Redacted. What Americans are rejecting is overly liberal representations of the millitary not that type of movie per se. See the above comments regarding this movie as demeaning, as well as boring, for further support.
