Default 'The Police: Certifiable -- Live in Buenos Aires' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'The Police: Certifiable -- Live in Buenos Aires' has been posted. He says this is a great souvenir for fan's who saw the tour, and a nice substitute for those who couldn't afford or nab tickets. This Blu-ray has great video and audio and a few worthwhile supplements. A must for Police fans.

I was going to pick this up on blu-ray, but picked it up on vinyl instead...figured I could always find the blu ray used somewhere but the vinyl will be harder to come by...

I'm pissed this isn't available on Amazon.com. I'm not spending $40 on this.

Considering the best seats in the house for this show went for $200+, $30 is not a bad price which is what I paid yesterday at BB. Also comes with 2 CD's. No choice realy unless you want to wait a while to find it used as it is a BB exclusive and Netflix and BB online dont carry it.

I have a hard time watching concerts when i know the band members hate each other.

I watched a bunch of this in BB.
it's a shame that they perform many of the faster songs way slower than they used too.
kind of ruined it for me--like it just reinforced that they don't have half the energy of the late 70's early 80's.
Certainly worth getting if someone is a hardcore fan, but just a little too depressing for me as they were SO damn good back in the day.

I saw the concert here in Dallas and watched the BR the other night. My only performance gripe was Sting's inclination to blurt out the a lyric so fast it was totally out of sync with the music. Occasionally it works, usually it doesn't. Or he'll drop a word or syllable once in a while:

"Sending out an S. O. <muffled>......."

Just a quick question-- I got my copy of this from Bestbuy.com today and it sounds like the discs MIGHT be loose, or perhaps there's just something sliding around inside the cardboard sleeve/box it comes with. Can someone confirm if, sealed, there is anything in the box that could cause a sliding/rattling sound? This is going to be a Christmas gift so I don't know if I should try to get a new one...

(I'm asking because it seems like many hidef movies get to me sounding like they're loose, and maybe about 15% really are discs that fell out but often it's an ill-fitting booklet or something just sounding like something's loose)

hard to say.
It could be a security tag floating around or part of the hub.
I've thought a few times that a disc was loose only to find out it was something different almost every time.
on smaller cases you can feel the disc rotating on the spindle if you turn it with just the right wrist action, but that's that large case so you'll probably never be able to tell.
