Default 'Kit Kittredge: An American Girl' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'Kit Kittredge: An American Girl' has been posted. He says this is a far better movie than one based on a doll line has any reason to be. This Blu-ray however is a huge disappointment, with a lousy transfer, middling sound, and no supplements. Still, the movie itself makes it worth a rental

Yikes! 2 star video review for a new big studio release, that's pretty weak.

Remember that Warner Bros. took over New Line, which means you won't see anymore DTS-HD MA 7.1 tracks or superb video quality.

Meh.... I wouldn't say New Line had superb video quality. They had good PQ but, it wasn't anywhere near the best out there, mainly because NL had a terrible habit of overuse of DNR (Dark City, Hairspray and Pans Labyrinth to name a few).

The only real 'superb' PQ release was Shoot 'em Up. Shitty film, great (DNR free) picture.

"Hairspray" did seem pretty clean. Not to sound like a jerk but would it have been so hard for Warner to put these latest films on hold and include more extra's as well Lossless sound as well? The credibility it would've gained them compared to what they'd of lost would've been a godsend for them. I mean in terms of seriously audiophiles and movie buyers like us. JMO. I mean seriously except for "Sex and the City" which of these New Line movies hasn't been a go through the motions effort by them? I mean seriously, BD-25's with no Lossless and little to no extra's.

This movie was based on a doll line?

Am I wrong if I say the girl is very cute (in non sexual way)? Are we allowed to say that in today's accusatory world? My sister said the same thing about her, no one would say anything about it. The moment a guy says a little girl is cute we get Chris Hansen Nightline jokes.

Naw not at all, she's a really cute girl which is why people love her and why she's in so many films, it's not just the good acting. Now if you said hot, then there would be a problem haha.

lol
yeah there's a reason why she's being cast in so many films, you have to have some photogenic appeal and personality to be in so many movies. Glad to see someone agrees.
