Default 'The Incredible Hulk' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'The Incredible Hulk.' He says it's a fun popcorn reboot for the series. This Blu-ray has magnificent picture and sound and some nice extras. Recommended. Fans can pick this up without hesitation.

Uh... where is the rview?

Anyway, the audio on this movie is just down right amazing. It is probably the best track I have heard from a BR in months.

It's not ambitious film, but it is a well-crafted and more than competent one
bottom paragraph, movie itself review. typo, missing the word "an"

now that my nitpick is over, i liked the review. my copy is in transit, and this review really makes me want to see it more. my question: is Abomination a worthwhile villain, or is he just an utter, stupid waste, a la Iron Monger?

I wasn't a fan of The Incredible Hulk as I rather prefer Ang Lee's "Hulk" over Ultimate Hulk - I mean Incredible Hulk. Still, I don't mind giving this bad boy a rent just to check the Abomination/Hulk fight at the end in HD and DTS HD MA (DTS core for me since I'm still kickin' it lossy style).

Isn't there a rule against flamebaiting?

After all, except for the first half hour, Ang Lee's Hulk is right up there with Elektra and Batman & Robin in the Worst Comic Movies Ever category. This movie actually had a thing called ACTION in it.

What? You can't be serious?

Ang Lee's Hulk isn't perfect but no way in the world can it be compared to drivel like Batman and Robin or Electra.

Worst comic book movies ever -

Brenda Star
Fantastic Four (the Roger Corman version and the 2005 version)
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (if they can't do Alan Moore right don't do it at all)
Batman Forever
Batman and Robin
Captain America (dir: Albert Puyn)
Daredevil (theatrical version)
Aliens vs Predator
Catwoman

Ang Lee's Hulk belongs at the top of that list!!!

I thought Ang Lee's Hulk was so bad that I turned it off about 20 minutes from the end, and then traded my copy with a fellow AVS member for a dif movie. Terrible movie.

Ang Lee's Hulk was a beautiful, delicately crafted film. However, that does NOT make it a good comic book adaptation.

well put. it is a god AWFUL comic adaptation. but it is a GOOD, deep movie. although the poodles, and Nick Nolte all need to be replaced by the dancing "Peanut butter jelly time!" dancing banana.

i agree that the Hulk was a pretty good movie, but not a good comic book movie. Ang Lee just didn't know how to make it work.

I agree totally. As an origins story the original hulk movie was perfect. If they'd had any sense at all they would've made the second movie as a sequel with same cast and starting out in the jungle .
Would've been great.
The Norton one is very forgettable.
