'Way of War' -- pre-release thread
First Look has announced their latest Blu-ray:
http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/waywar.html There is little information on the film, though it has yet to get a theatrical release and stars Cuba Gooding Jr. (Guess it's straight to video, then?) No specs yet, but stay tuned. MSRP is $34.95, and street date February 10.

Sounds like it could be interesting. Definitely a rental, I'm a fan of cuba's work.

What's the scoop with "The Way of War"? It's supposed to be released on Feb 10 but Amazon shows March 31. More interesting, I can't find a single review of the movie on RottenTomatoes.com or on several other review sites. Is this movie being released direct to disc? Has nobody seen it yet?

it did get bumped, that happened about 2 to 3 weeks ago. we'll see if it comes out. fox bumped the rocker VERY close to it's release and it came out, so always hope.

The standard def DVD version of Way Of War was released today. Rather than wait for the Blu-ray version (March 31), I decided to go ahead and rent the standard def version from the local Red Box for $1. I did eventually find some reviews for the movie (based on DVD viewings) over at IMDB. Mostly bad reviews but I'm going to give it a try anyway. I'm not expecting it to be a terrific movie. I just want to see what is so bad about it that it never got released theatrically.

Way of War: So utterly bad it is impossible to imagine in advance that it could be that bad! Don't even waste $1 on a rental. First Look pictures would do the Blu-ray format a huge favor if they NEVER release it on Blu.
