I've never seen this, but it looks and sounds like it'd be a great Blu-ray release due to the music and colors. Anyone out there seen this and would recommend it?

DL it's going to be a demo reference material (audio) for sure. The SD DVD is superb(IMO). I've been waiting for this on BD since the War ended. Can't wait.

Drumline, is a great coming of age type of flick. The characters face adversity and eventually through a series of hard lessons taught, develop into a warmer human being. Also has great audio and swac style field performances. I would recommend it.

Personally I couldnt recommend the movie, but the picture and sound if done right should be great. This title is very targeted with its audience, watched it once and I dont think Id do it again...

Nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! lol, those two where not even on the same level, especially since with "Stomp the yard" IMO everything was grossly done wrong...That movie makes me laugh everytime I see it because of the way it tries to portray stepping\minority orgs\pledging.....

I cant even comment on Step up, that is one that I just wont watch ...

BTW I did like your play on words nice way to cross promote three movies into a semi-coherent sentence...

Since I pledged a minority frat (I am not going to say which one) I always find that most movies glam it up WAY too much....Also, as far as stepping goes, if you want to see a "real" step competition I suggest looking for one of the many shows that have been put up on youtube, what they have i that movie in particular is FAR from what I would call stepping (at least from all that I have experienced)....Dont get me wrong I have seen some very good step\stroll teams, but that movie took it to a "Ho....Nuva...Level..."On the pledging side, lets just say that it always seems a little "lite" to me .........

But this is just my opinion from what I have experienced and what I know about "greek life", it is highly glamorized in movies, and since they are geared to the younger crowed it may be a good thing...

Its just a personal erk of mine nothing more .....While I usually can suspend belief in reality, this is just one of those things that I wish they would have done "correctly".....This movie in particular just seemed like street dancing with a college\frat theme thrown on top....

Take the plot of Drumline, change the premise to stepping and you have Stomp The Yard. Drumline is so much better.

yeah. i'm still waiting for a cross promotion.....

Curb Stomp the Yard. i can imagine it wouldn't go over too well. 90 minutes of "PUT YOUR MOUTH ON THE CURB!" action, the winning team? the ones still alive when it's over.
