Default 'Home Alone' -- pre-release thread

Fox has announced the blockbuster for Blu release:

http://bluray.highidefdigest.com/homealone.html

There's no tech specs or supplemental details yet, but the full media announce should arrive soon.

Street date is December 2 and MSRP $34.99.

Fantastic! Too bad it's not being released prior to Christmas, though... sort of ruins the effect. But there's always next year...

WTF? Home Alone AFTER Christmas? Wow, way to mess up....

Although I'd rather have a Blu-ray movie that's well done than one that was rushed to meet some arbitrary deadline.

windows, i agree. i'd rather them take the time and do every blu-ray right. not just rush it out for some arbitrary street date to coincide w/ a similar release or holiday.

Still doesn't make sense to me. Home Alone is a movie I tend to only watch during the Christmas season, so I probably won't bother picking it up until November or December of next year.

Makes more sense. And releasing this as a 2 disc pack with the 2nd movie makes a bit more sense too.

The original post said January 20... it's since been changed to December 2.

Holy Crap! A favorite bit of Childhood nostalgia is coming to Blu-Ray!!!

I'm Wondering if the 2nd film will also be released?
It's still just a non-anamorphic WS DVD...but I love it as well!

Either way, one is better than none!!!! My day has just been made!!!
