Default 'Casino' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Casino.' It's his favorite of Scorsese's mob movies. This Blu-ray has top notch video and audio and plenty of supplements. Highly recommended.

Favorite? Perhaps Peter hasn't seen Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Mean Streets...I can keep going.

At this point I think he is just messing with us...I mean, whats next, a positive review of Sex and the c....uhhh. nevermind.

I did.

I love Casino. However, its just a slicker, darker and less interesting version of Goodfellas.

You read every word and argument in three minutes? He mentions the mob movies you pointed out. Raging bull isn't a mob movie.

On the surface its a boxing film, but its very mob-centric as the mafia plays a big role in Lamotta's early career (aka his refusal to use their help to get a title bout and his lil' bros constant fighting with them).

And yes, in about 3 minutes I read the movie itself review.

This is the movie that made me to go format neutral back in early 2007. This is one of my favorites. Definitely repurchasing the blu ray when it comes out.

So, does this release doesn't have Spanish subtitles, even the HD DVD version does?

Or are the specs on the review incorrect?

Thank you!

I will be rebuying this, but I wish they would release Scarface.

If my reciever did dts-ma I would get this, but it doesn't, so for now I'm sticking with my hd-dvd copy.

I really like this movie, not my favorite, Goodfellas is a much much better film. One thing that I can't stand in this film is Sharon Stone's character, I don't know why but she really annoys me.
