Default 'Sex and the City' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter has reviewed 'Sex and the City' and enjoyed it! This Blu-ray comes loaded with great video and audio and some decent supplements. Recommended.

Peter was generous with his movie rating.

Kidding, I haven't seen it. Or have I? *Shifty eyes*

Should we really still be referring to New Line? Warner was the one responsible for this disc.... they control anything and everything NL related now.

I mean was there any mention of DreamWorks in the Transformers review.... no. So why is there any mention of New Line Cinema in this review? It's basically the same thing.....

I think I'm having a seizure.

A 4 star for the film???? Yet, something as cool as Land of the Dead (insert your own Peter B. review) gets a 2 and a half star???

New Line is the studio featured for the release.

Right, except the disc is distributed by Warner Home Video. There is no New Line Home Video anymore. They no longer exist to distribute discs.

The relationship between New Line and Warner is like Miramax and Disney/Buena Vista, Paramount and DreamWorks and Fox and MGM. Anytime the studio/distributor is mentioned with those pairings - it's always the parent company, the larger company or both companies (Fox/MGM for instance). In Josh's review of Kill Bill he mentions Miramax but makes it clear that the discs were distributed by Buena Vista. In the Transformers review Peter refers only to Paramount despite it being a DreamWorks title. In the Mr. Brooks review it's stated as a Fox/MGM release.

And the thing that is unique with the New Line situation is that, unlike the other companies that have their films distributed by someone else, it plain doesn't exist anymore. The doors are closed. The lights are off. Everyone said "screw you guy's - I'm goin' home!" New Line did not distribute this film on Home Video.

This movie was way to long and i hated every moment of it sitting through it.
the things one does (or in this case sits through) for the woman he loves.
