Default 'The Love Guru' - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth has reviewed 'The Love Guru.' Pity him for sitting through this "unfunny, uninspired, unoriginal, and unintentionally unappealing" comedic anomaly. This Blu-ray overcomes weak audio and fluffy supplements with an excellent video transfer, but it's no use, skip this one, or rent it if you absolutely must.

Must review here:

I hope you chased your sorrows with a beer or something afterwards.

Simply.... Shite. It's been down hill since the Wide Awake Club for Myers.

I completely agree with this review. I absolutely love comedies, and I didn't even finish the last 30-45 minutes of this film. I took it out and sent it back to netflix and promptly rated it 1 star.

But the PQ is excellent. Perhaps even 4.5 stars.

ken, paramount has also released a two-disc sd dvd version with digital copy. therefore, the DC isn't really a high-def "exclusive".

A beer? I would have moved it up to some hard liquor.

Definitly the stupidest movie of the year(worst than You Dont Mess with the Zohan). At least I saw it at my cheap movie theatre. Ya know I kinda am not sure if its just a terrible movie, or if Ive grown out of Myer's slapstick goofball movies. i remember loving Austin Powers. Maybe Ive just grown out of everything like it.

Why even bother reviewing such movies when you haven't reviewed Every Which Way But Loose yet?

LOL, great review Ken. I rented the DVD out of our Red Box, and while watching it I was wondering if I was ever going to laugh. I only did a couple of times then part of them felt like an idiot because I realized it wasn't all that funny.

A dollar wasted.

Spoiler:
This may be the only way I'll see the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup in my lifetime!

I don't agree with the "Skip It." Sure, the story was ridiculous and the acting was really bad (you can get a better French-Canadian accent at any Tim Horton's - even in Ontario), but even if you watch it just for the "mini-Punch Imlach" in the office it is worth it.

There are enough jokes if you stick it with it. Semi-Pro on the other hand ...

That said, this one came from Netflix and not Amazon.

I totally agree with this review, and glad I rented it from Netflix instead of buying it. I usually like Mike Myers' films but this one was jst awful! It was just the same "joke" over and over again.

Mike Myers should just face the fact that his career is over!

This movie is definitely not one of Mike Myers finest. In fact yeah it kind of sucked, but Justin Timberlake was pretty hilarious. And well...Jessica Alba is damn hot. Anyway, I don't think the movie deserved a half star though. Maybe 2? 2.5? possibly a 3...being that 3 means "it's okay"...not good or great by any means. Anyway though it was at least a "worth a rent" review..definitely not something worth buying though..but hell...helped kill 1.5 hours of boredom in my day.

p.s. I'd still rather watch Norbit over There Will Be Blood..that movie was overhyped garbage...I think the ONLY thing I enjoyed out of that film was being able to understand that stupid "I drink your milkshake" line ppl kept repeating.

1.... what's that got to do with the guru or anything anyone has said.
B. Wow! That's the single most... well, I don't want to insult your intelligence cause that's not cool, you're just stating opinion. But what the fuck??

Even if you didn't like or get TWBB, there's no need to be watching Norbit, it's just toe crud. I foresee no time in my life where I will be so starved of ANYTHING to watch that I would resort to Norbit. Life's too short man. And yes, I am happy to judge something without having seen more than a trailer.
