Default 'Iron Man' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's 'Iron Man' review has been posted. He says the film is great, hampered by a slightly underwhelming finale, but fun from start to finish. This Blu-ray is terrific, great video, even better audio (5 stars) and a ton of extras. Highly Recommended.

How are the HD extras so low? Every extra I heard was in HD?

Great review and I agree with the movie rating. The final although good left me wanting more. A must buy disc though and it will make up for Spipey 3 and X3.

Uh....

Quote:
The film has a split personality for a visual style. Shot with both traditional anemographic and Super35 film processes, the early desert scenes have a much starker, grittier quality, while the latter half of the film is much more glossy and slick. As such, while the source is spotless, there are some apparently intentional inconsistencies in contrast, blacks and color saturation.
Dictionary Definition:
A`nem`o`graph´ic (å`nĕm`ô`grăf´ĭk)
a. 1. Produced by an anemograph; of or pertaining to anemography.

Thesaurus:
Adj. 1. anemographic - pertaining to the recording of wind measurements.

.....

I think the word you meant to use was anamorphic.... at least, I'd assume that's the word you're looking for....

I think that section is for BD advanced extras like BonusView and BD-Live, but it does seem low. Maybe he will re-evaluate it when the stuff goes live. Supplements look heavy, which is good. An instant buy for me.

"Hall of Armor" and the trailers are also BD-exclusive extras.

I wish I could say I liked this movie when I saw it in theaters, but whatever everyone else saw, I didn't catch it. I think the third act kinda ruined the movie. I am looking forward to giving it another chance, though.

movie was fantastic. it was pure fun and entertainment. downey was so good as tony that i didn't care when he put on the armor. easily the best comic book movie alter ego performance i've seen. by a landslide over bale's bland bruce wayne and maguire's "lack of sarcasm" spidey performances. downey was born for the role.
