Default 'The Fall (2006)' - High-Def Digest Review

I hate to spoil any surprise by posting this forum thread early, but I'm probably going to have a very late night tonight, so I want to get Kenneth's review all set up for you guys to read at 9 p.m. (midnight for our east coast readers).

Check out the full review here (when the hour arrives):

Great!!! I was worried I was going to have to wait awhile.* Cool, I already bought...but I like hearing other takes on it. So, I await the news.

* I totally understand the ins and outs.

I would really like to hear his comments. The reviews for the movie itself are either you loved it or hated it, seems to be no in between. However, I love adult fairy tales and I cannot wait to check this out.

I can't wait to see this one. My Netflix queue has it on Long Wait. Knowing their service, I'll probably be seeing this film early next year!

I own The Cell DVD and I love it even though it has its flaws. I wish they would release that on Blu-ray.

It's very purdy.

This film is demanding that my TV be professionally calibrated.

"Let’s be honest: most everyone who steps up to defend Tarsem’s ‘The Cell’ is forced to point to its evocative imagery while settling for a contrived plot and shallow characters."

Maybe I suffered some brain damage at some point, but I'd actually defend 'The Cell' on the basis of its ingenious plot and well-conceived characters (I mean, sixty percent of the movie takes place inside someone's mind and involves the two warring halves of his psyche; it's not like they're skimping on his character development).

'The Fall' zipped out of theaters too fast for me to see it, and I was really kicking myself; I assumed that if it had this much trouble getting seen at all, it wasn't going to make it to Blu-ray. I'm so happy to be holding a copy in my hands RIGHT NOW, and all the more after reading this review. Can't wait!

I'd like to say a big thankyou to Kenneth Brown for including a spoiler in the "Picture" section of the review. Great, just great. How about keeping plot comments in the drivel section, I mean "your take section" eh Ken?
