Default 'The Proposition' - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth has reviewed 'The Proposition' and he has nothing but praise for this one! This Blu-ray is a steal, with striking video, faithful lossless audio, and a nice big ol batch o' supplements. Recommended (it's 11 bucks on Amazon!).

I think Amazon lowered it to 10.95, don't know if it's still at that price.

It's a great film, with ref PQ.

This is one of my favorite films in recent years.

The blu-ray version is by far the best I've seen it look and it was also my third viewing of the picture and it is one of those movies that grows with each viewing.

You feel exhausted after watching"The Proposition" and it may not seem like something you'd want to immediately revisit but after some time goes by you'll still be thinking about it and will want to watch it again.

If you were like me and purchased it for 13.95 @ Amazon when it came out just request a refund and they'll credit your card the difference.

Also, thanks for reviewing the disc: with its low profile release and bargain bin price point people can easily assume the film is junk and the picture worse.

Okay, this review has piqued my interest. This isn't going to sound very original, but it looks like a blind buy for me too.

This was a pretty good flick, I wouldn't say its worth losing any sleep over, but for 11bucks its 4sho worth it.

*spoiler* kinda

There's one shot where he's passing out and that native is standing above him and gets capped in the head, that shot is so crazy! I've slo-mo'd that and looks so real... can't quite figure that one out.

Wow, shame on you blind buyers! The flick's been out for almost 2 weeks on BD and now you're blind buying it???

Who says reviews on here don't sway BD supporters?

Reviews tend to help when it comes to becoming aware of a movie's existence.

RT reviews for people still on the fence:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/proposition/

Consensus: Brutal, unflinching, and violent, but thought-provoking and with excellent performances, this Australian western is the best of the genre to come along in recent times.

Bargain bin price, fantastic film and excellent picture and sound - pick it up!
