Default 'Heroes: Season Two' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'Heroes: Season Two' has been posted. He says the show hit a serious sophomore slump, but this Blu-ray overcomes it, with excellent video, strong audio, and good supplements. Worth a look.

Default Clarification on HD extras....

Clarification Please: are the extras really HD on this set? That's mighty nice if they are.... much better than the window boxed 480i crud on the Season One set.

Otherwise, nice review. Season Two was mostly crap but it did get better.... Season Three looks to be so much better.

i'm up in the air about this one, even if it had a 5 star video. i know i'm just going to watch it once, and doubt it will get CHEAP FAST, so to buy the best buy mask set, or wait for the blu, and only 2 days to decide as the BB set WILL sell out.

Default Tiny error in review.

Siblings Maya and Alejandro were interesting in season one, but spend almost the entire first half of season two doing nothing much of consequence.
^^^^^ Maya and Alejandro weren't in season one.... that's possibly why the first season was so much better*.

*I didn't like their characters at all. They added nothing to the series.... like many of the character introduced in season 2 actually.

Yeah, Maya and Alejandro sucked...but on BD, you can watch 11 episodes in a day or two so they are not in it as much, lol.

I do like Elle...

At least newcomer Kristen Bell (of 'Veronica Mars' fame) gives the show a much-needed injection of excitement and energy, as an electro-spewing little vixen who eventually teams up with Monica.
When did Elle team up with Monica? I don't remember that. I guess S2 was so bad that I completely forgot about it?

I thought there were only 11 eps in Season 2 due to writer's strike which kinda shortened the plots and sub-plots. I know they had to kill alot of storylines and rewrote them pretty quick to end it.

The only real let down for me in Season 2 was that all the stories get rushed together toward the end in order to finish off the season quickly . There was some stuff that was just terrible, but there Peter Petrelli's story line had me anticipating the next episodes.

My wife actually wants me to buy this (she has never cared about high-def purchases) so she can get ready for Season 3.

x.

Thumbs up Season 2 of Heroes

I know Season 2 was a let down to a lot of people - but I was at the San Diego Comic-Con this year and saw the premiere episode of Season 3 - that's what peaked my interest in the show. My woman was always into the show - but it took watching that premiere with 6499 rabid fans to blow my mind!

If Season 2 was a let down to you - be prepared - because if the premiere of Season 3 proves one thing - this season should blow your mind!

I'll be picking this up on Blu-Ray to add to my collection! I ordered Season One on HD-DVD the evening I came home from the Con - to get me caught up.
