Default Dark Night of the Scarecrow (80's TV movie horror) coming to Blu-ray!

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/38036

According to 'Aint it cool news' larry drake in, 'Dark night of the scarecrow' is coming to blu ray! This is awesome news. I can remember watching this movie on TV when I was in the fourth grade or something. Very scary old-fashioned movie. Very excited to get this day 1! Anybody else?

Oh my god... I was young when I saw this and it still resonates when I think of it. I'm curious if it will still hold up.

I watched a VHS capture last year. The night scenes are still creepy and haunting, but the 80s-ish production values and acting hamper it. Still worth watching again though.

When I was a kid watching it on TV, it scared the heck out of me!

i thought this title didn't have a chance of hitting blu ray, i oredered it for a friend on ebay a couple years back and you couldn't even get a proper dvd at that point, it was a burned copy of the vhs, did it ever get a proper dvd release?

I first heard of this movie whrn Scarecrows came out on DVD last year and it sounded really interesting. I searched and couldnt find a proper DVD release so if this comes out I will pick it up as a blind buy.

From anything I could find this is one of those impossible to find movies that never got any DVD release. I guess a newer, smaller company is releasing it. I love that movies like this and 'Faces of Death' (even though I've never seen the latter) are being released in high-def. I know there's youtube postings of 'Dark night of the....' so, yea I guess just boot-legs of this movie have been available.

it's something though when, even having not seen it since like 1984 or whenever it came out I remember it scaring the shit out of me way back then! Def. a total first day purchase.

Both "Dark Night of the Scarecrow" and "Scarecrows" are excellent. Would love to see them both on Blu.

It was shot 35mm 1.33:1 for TV.

As long as the print is clean, a hi def transfer should yield the nicest version of this movie yet.
