Default Hellboy II: The Golden Army 11/11/08

According to my distributor we should be getting Hellboy 2 on 11/18/08. The even better news is that there looks to be 2 versions as one is the standard Msrp of $39.98 and there is also a collectors edition with msrp of $64.98.

I have no idea what's on the collectors edition, maybe a bust or a 3 disc set? We shall see.

Thanks for the intel. I guess that the collectors edition could consist of Hellby I, II, and a digital copy of II or a bust??? Just speculating.

Sweet.

I Figured it would be after XMas though or before. Maybe same release as TDK.

I'm glad to see the release dates for the summer hits are within a reasonable time!

negative on them combining hellboy 1 and 2 because sony owns the rights for the first one and universal the second.

Nope, the original Hellboy is a Sony release.

I'd think the Collector's Edition would be the same as the $39.98 regular edition with extra nicknacks. A book, figurines, a bust, etc....

Also, rumor is this will be getting a 7.1 master.... Click Here or Click Here (skip the intro - look on the right hand side) for talk, news, etc.

It's a gift set edition, featuring collectible packaging, Golden Army statue, and a journal/book. It's coming to BD and DVD. Also has digital copy and 7.1 sound.

YES YES YES, ahhh this is great news to kick off the weekend, i actually watched hellboy again since blind buying it and watching it for the first time back in june, i started on it last friday and ended up finishing it yesterday. i've been meaning to see II during it's theatrical run but with a busy schedule mixed with the dark knight's theatrical release the week after II (seen tdk 4 times), i never got the chance. i really wanted to too, after greatly enjoying pan's labyrinth and reading from critics this is a great next film from del toro. this will no doubt be boughten, i sure hope universal keeps it up with the pq and of course the always great dts audio (my favorite audio always, i noticed how good dts was in man on fire [i don't have a big audio setup so at times it's hard to tell the audios apart]) and i sure hope it looks as good as hellboy 1. man this is fantastic!

Eh, I'll just get the regular edition. If they threw in a Hellboy bust, I would have been down for the CE but I'm not too crazy about the golden statue.

didn't see this, really wanted too... maybe it was because I went and saw TDK 3times in a row haha

I thought the first one was pretty good, not my favorite comic movie but pretty decent. Thoughts? Better? Worse then the first one? A lot of my friends didn't like it....

7.1 master DTS is deffinitely worth getting excited about! glad to hear Universal is going all out.
