Default POLAR EXPRESS in 3D Oct. 28!

Warner Home Video announced today that they will release THE POLAR EXPRESS in both 3D and 2D versions as part of a 2-disc set on Oct. 28.

The package will include 4 pairs of glasses as well. Extras will be the same as the previous version.

It will be interesting to see if the 3D version will work with both regular sets and video projectors!

'Polar Express' Oct. 28

The 3D is just the red and blue glasses, kind of gimmicky.

Stereoscopy is only gimmicky to those who don't/can't appreciate it.

I REALLY wish they would done this with The Nightmare Before Christmas.

BUT, I don't have The Polar Express, yet. Maybe I will get this one.

I was hoping for a more definitive edition, HD extras, and more features.

just because its gimmicky to you doesnt mean it is to everyone else.
i happen to be really excited for this being added on there. while it will in no way meassure up to seeing it in RealD or in imax 3D, it still will be better than how 3D looked on standard dvd.

that comment is not any better than the people complaining about the smilebox version of how the west was won being included on the upcomming bluray release of that title.
you might not appreciate it or want to watch but no need to poo poo it for the rest of us who are truly excited to have a 3d version of this film and any other future titles that might come out.
and its including both version on the disc so its not like you have to watch the 3d version if you dont want to.

by the way i love the new layout for your site, ive been reading a lot on there in the last few days.

Does anyone know if this version of Polar Express will have lossless audio since the previous version didn't?

Sorry, I should have stated 'in my opinion'. Which is why I said kind of, I know lots of people love it at the same time, and I invite it. Hannah Montana 3D worked quite well, even though I got a headache from it.

And thanks, I appreciate it. It's getting a massive face-lift soon. I like the blog style, I don't have plans to make it much more than that, but just easier to find things and linkable news, etc.

Although I am appreciative and really hope they reissue The Ant Bully and Superman Returns this way, I wish they could use something better than anaglyph.
