Yeah, they seem to always extend the video window on Christmas titles to capitalize on this. Santa Clause 3 was like this last year too.

Did not see this movie, but it has a great cast. Rottentomatoes scores do not look so good. Boxofficemojo and IMDB fair a little better. I may pick this up if I can find it cheap as I am a sucker for Christmas flicks...

Elf was the same way. It hit theaters in November of 2003 and DVD in November of 2004.

Anyways, I may pick this up if I can get it cheap. I never got to see it in theaters.

Except for Christmas themed movies. Fred Claus, Santa Clause 3, Elf, Polar Express, the list goes on. They want to capitalize on the timing of the marketing. Or do you think it's mere coincidence this happens with all these Christmas movies?

Sometimes it isn't like that though, like Deck the Halls, but probably because that movie wasn't particularly popular.

It's done intentionally with Christmas themed movies. Somehow you are the only one having a difficult time understanding this.

ease up killers....yes christmas themed movies hit theatres around november, december, then don't come on dvd until the same period the next year, to capitalize on the "christmas spirit" when people will actually buy that kind of horseshit.

ahem

from everything i've heard, this one sounds like a STINKER, even w/ Giamatti. so i'm passing like this were the Santa Clause 22: electric boogaloo, starring Tim Allen's rotting corpse.
