'Running Scared (2006) (German Import)' - High-Def Digest Review
Kenneth's review of the ''Running Scared (2006) (German Import)' Blu-ray has been posted. He's not a fan of this film (to put it mildly). This Blu-ray import has good video and audio, but none of the previous supplements. For fans only.

yeah i agree with this review... what exactly the point of this movie was beyond me...
everything happens just for the sake of happening, and don't get me wrong I can turn my mind off and enjoy a brainless action flick, but if you are gonna lose any art credibilty, its gotta swing the other way and be entertaining. This movie accomplishes exactly the opposite... two stars was being nice.Main Setup: Mitsubishi 63" DLP/Panny BD30/HD-A35/Onkyo 705/ Sony 7.1 speaker setup.

You'd rather strip your skin off with a potato peeler rather than watch Running Scared for a second time??? That's hardcore man...and an odd thing to say at that.... Anyways, this was a decent flick. I have it on Dutch release HD DVD and couldn't be more happier with it. Too bad this blu-ray edition doesn't even include the commentary.

I always confuse this movie, until I see the cover and read the details of course, with the earlier movie with Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines. LOL....

Thank you.
I kinda liked this flick... but, now the question is, if its a region-free disc, does that mean that's the only one the studio will make? How do we know there will be a US DOMESTIC one?
If its REGION FREE, why not just ship it everywhere.. to all the BEST BUYS of the world? -

Many times, a movie will be distributed by different studios in different countries. One studio owns the rights to distribute the movie in the U.S., and another studio owns the rights to distribute it in a different country. Their contracts will prohibit each studio from selling outside their specified region.
Running Scared is distributed by New Line in the U.S., but it's distributed by a studio called EMS in Germany. New Line can't sell their disc in Europe, and EMS can't sell their disc in the U.S.
The decision of whether to region-code the disc or not is entirely up to each studio.Josh Z

I just picked this up last night in a trade. I had the HD DVD as well. I really liked this movie alot even though Paul Walker is not so good.
